If you are already running License Manager 8.6 and now need to run License Manager 9.2, you can either upgrade your license server, or use two separate license servers.
This is best done using the CSI Installation Wizard. If you are serving network licenses based only on RMS 8.6 or only on RMS 9.2, then install the corresponding version of License Manager and the of RMS Utilities. All other recent CSI products use network licenses based on RMS version 8.6. New CSI products, starting with ETABS v17, use network licenses based on RMS version 9.2. It does not apply if you are using a Standalone license, or if you are using a network license but are not responsible for managing the license server.
